Happy New Year!

I’m working on all sorts of new projects for 2018 and grinding away to restock my shelves after the busy holiday season. I am still accepting custom knife orders with a wait time of approx. 4 weeks. Chef knives have proven to be very popular so I am hoping to have a line of knives ready in the next week or two as well as some more camping, hunting, EDC knives, and my custom line of throwing knives. Here’s to making 2018 your sharpest year yet!

Open for Business!

I have a small selection of knife and sheath combos ready for purchase and will be adding more to my shelves every day. I’ve also got some leather notebook covers, wallets, keychain / belt loops, and belts available. My books are also open for custom knife and leatherwork orders. I will be offering several different types of steel (1084, 80CRV2, W2, and AEB-L to start), several signature designs, negotiable designs, a wide variety of handle material, liners, and pins all wrapped up in a custom leather sheath. Stop on by and lets talk  knives!

DOORS OPEN NOV. 14TH!

My retail shop will be open Tues-Sat starting November 14th. I have a decent selection of goods ready for purchase, a “ready-to-assemble” custom knife section, as well as opening up my books for custom orders.  I only have a small, limited amount of spots open for ready by Christmas orders.

Update is long overdue, but as per usual time just slips away when busy.  I am a little behind schedule but still pushing to open before the end of October. I will have knives available for purchase as well as reopening of the books for custom orders. I will also have multiple leather goods available such as notebook covers, wallets, knife/tool rolls, etc. Books will also be reopened for custom leather products. I will also be offering knife restoration/sharpening services.

Update 3/23/17

As per usual I’ve been extremely busy trying to juggle everything all at once but the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter! I’ve updated my logo with the new design made by my friend Ryan Gardell and got the ball rolling on getting some shirts and stickers printed.

This past Sunday I hosted my first knife making workshop for a few friends who wanted to learn about the process and make their own knife. The day was a huge success and went very smoothly with all 3 participants managing to select a knife design, cut out/grind the profile from bar stock,grind down the bevels, and heat treat/temper their knives before shaping and attaching handles. This went so well and I’ve received so many additional requests that I am looking into hosting more of these workshops possibly once per month.

Besides all that I’m still working on finishing up a few custom orders and starting my next big run of knives that will lead to the launch of my online store.

Shop Upgrade!

I received my new 2×72 Belt Grinder from Grizzly on Tuesday and was finally able to set it up yesterday. I am beyond pleased with it! Easy to set up right out of the box and started grinding immediately. Did the bevels on 2 sets of 14″ Throwing Bowie Knives to get a feel for the machine and was able to have all 6 as well as a chef knife beveled in only a few hours. This thing absolutely shreds the steel away, its great. Should cut my production times down by a lot and enhance the quality of my grinds. Also, thanks to my Dad for acquiring me a length of 1/2″ thick steel I-Beam that my friend Vinny was able to cut down for me into 3 sections. These will be used as temporary anvils, 1 is going out to a fellow knife maker while the remaining 2 reinforced ones will be put to use out back by my forge. These should enable me to do some “rough forged” finishes and eventually lead to full forging of a knife. Thanks for stopping by! Stay Grinding!
